Heaven Series

How God supports every believer to our journey to heaven!

Jesus died on the cross:

Why was the death of Jesus so important to the believer?

I Peter 2:21-25: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for usleaving us an examplethat ye should follow his steps: 22. Who did no sinneither was guile found in his mouth: 23. Whowhen he was reviledreviled notagainwhen he sufferedhe threatened notbut committed himself to him that judges righteously: 24. Who his own self bear our sins in his own body on the treethat webeing dead to sinsshould live unto righteousnessby whose stripes ye were healed. 25. For ye were as sheep going astraybut are now returned unto the shepherd and the Bishop of your souls.

John 3:16-17: For God so loved the worldthat he gave his only begotten sonthat whosoever believeth in him should not perishbut have everlasting life. 17. For God sent not his son in the world to condemn the worldbut that the world through him might be saved.

Without the sinless sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, eternal salvation for man would not come into existence. Jesus was the only one who came to earth and lived a sinless lifeHe was 100% man and 100% GodBy his precious blood we are redeemedif we repent of our sins and ask Jesus to come into our life through the Holy Spirit and then continue faithfully until the end.

It was his holy sacrificed that allowed Christians to be able to go to heavenBecause Jesus said in Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the pure in heartfor they shall see GodSin is not permitted in heaven so it took Jesus sacrifice who died for our sins.

Jesus arose out of the grave:

Why is the resurrection of Jesus necessary?

Luke 24:1-7 Now upon the first day of the weekvery early in the morningthey came unto the sepulcherbringing the spices which they had preparedand certain others with them. 2. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3. And they entered inand found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4. And it came to passas they were much perplexed thereaboutbehold 2 men stood by them in shining garments: 5. And as they were afraidand bowed down their faces to the earththey said unto themWhy seek ye the living among the dead? 6. He is not herebut he is risenremember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,  7. Saying, The son of man must be delivered in the hands of sinful menand be crucifiedand the third day rise again.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that livethand was deadbeholdI am alive forevermoreAmenand have the keys of hell and of death.

John 14:19b Jesus said, “because I liveye shall live also.”

Jesus promised in the book of first Thessalonians chapter 4I will not leave the Saints in the graveWhen I rapture the churchthe dead in Christ shall rise first and those that live and remain shall be caught up to be forever with Jesus!

I Thessalonians 4:13-18: but I would not have you to be ignorant brethrenconcerning them which are asleep (dead in the grave), that you sorrow noteven as others which have no hopeFor if we believe that Jesus died and rose againEven so them also would sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lordthat we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shoutwith the voice of the Archangeland with the trump of Godand the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloudsto meet the Lord in the airand so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Jesus gives every believer the Holy Spirit

Can you live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit?

John 14:15-18: If ye love mekeep my commandments. 16. And I will pray the father, and he shall give you another comforter (Holy Spirit)that he may abide with you forever; 17. Even the spirit of truthwhom the world cannot receivebecause it seeth him notneither knoweth himbut ye know himfor he dwelleth with youand shall be in you. 18. I will not leave you comfortlessI will come to you.

I John 4:4: Ye are of Godlittle childrenand have overcome thembecause greater is he (Holy Spirit) that is in youthan he (Satan) that is in the world.

John 16:7-9: it is expedient for you that I go awayfor if I go not awaythe comforter will not come unto youbut if I departI will send him unto youAnd when he is come he will reprove the world of sinand of righteousnessend of judgment: 9. Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10. Of richness because I go to my fatherand you see me no moreof judgmentbecause the Prince of this world (Satan) is judged.

The gift of the Holy Spirit that dwells within us will never leave us nor forsake usThe Holy Spirit will guide the believer on this earthly journey that leads to heaven let us, Thank God for Gift of the Holy Spirit. No man can live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit dwelling in our lives.

God gives us angels to protect the believer

Why do we have guardian angels?

Psalms 34:7: the Angel of the Lord and campeth round about them that fear himand delivereth them.

God gives us angels to protect us from evilSome angels have been sent as messengers to deliver us in times of troubleAll throughout the Old Testament and the New Testament God speaks of angels who watch over and protect his chosenToday, God gives us angels for protection the same way and helps us on her journey to heavenThe Bible speaks that we may entertain angels unawareremember they are there for our good and for our protectionThis is extra help that God has given the Saints of God to complete their journey to heaven

God gives us the Bible

Does the Bible give us instruction to make it to heaven?

The holy Bible was given to us as our guide here on earth and on her journey to heavenThe Bible teaches us how to be savedhow to live the Christian life on earth and how we must endure to the end to make it to God's heavenIf we study the word of God daily we will here from God himself from the word of God.  John 1:1 We are told that the word of God represents Jesus himself. John 1:1-5: In The beginning was the wordand the word was with Godand the word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made by himand without him was not anything made that was made4. In Him was life and the life was the light of men. 5. And the light shineth in darknessand darkness comprehended it not.

God gives us our churches

Why is it important for Christians to help each other?

Hebrews 10:23-25: Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24. And let us consider one another to provoke one another unto love and to good works: 25. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves togetheras the manner of some isBut exhorting one anotherand so much the moreas you see the day approaching.

Ephesians 6:18: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spiritand watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplications for All Saints.

James 5:16: Confess your faults one to anotherpray for one anotherthat you may be healedThe effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Ephesians 4:11-12: And he gave someapostlesand someevangelistand some pastors and teachers; 12. For the perfecting of the Saintsfor the work of the ministryfor the edifying of the body of Christ: ( Edify means to build upstrengthenand develop each other in our walk with Christ it can also mean to promote spiritual growth and maturityand help others become more like ChristThe word edify comes from the word edificewhich means something constructedIn the BibleChristians are called to be construction workersand builders of people.

The Church of God today is to be a place that is safe to worship GodA place where Christians can grow in the word of GodWhere we can pray for one another and share one another's burdensGod instructs us to mourn for those who mourn and to rejoice with those that rejoiceChurch was designed to be a community of believers that help each other to grow and be fruitful and prepare the next generation to serve God successfully.
